主題聯展Theme Zone

台灣設計師週特有的《主題聯展》單元，以開放式的態度，歡迎設計師們跳脫平時為品牌服務的身分，經由深入思考與創作，為自己的設計理念發聲。

從2012年大會主題《FLOW》看今年度【主題聯展】主軸
在《FLOW》動態轉變過程裡，最必然可見的結果就是「與相異相遇」，進而發現不同的設計面貌。不論是向前進的路上所串連的合作，或是國際市場找到的機會，認識與接受所謂的「不一樣」是主要挑戰的課題。因為有著這樣的想法，期許2012台灣設計師週【Theme Zone主題聯展】的策展人及參與的設計師，在參展主題與作品規劃上，能有兩大論述發展路線：

一、 

從既有的領域中，以不同的角度看到新的可能性，如同河水分支流一般，源自同處，沿岸卻有各自風貌。

二、

將不同領域的事物結合，好比兩條支流匯集成一條更有力的河道，在這兩大類的設計之下，期待看到更多種的元素運用、不同議題的結合，甚至新材質、技術的突破，讓來自不同領域的設計師們對於《FLOW》，可以有著不同的詮釋與發揮的可能性。

我們期待2012這股《FLOW》流動往前的思潮，共同衝出台灣設計的新力道！

From《FLOW》to the key spirit of 2012 TWDW Theme Zone

The expected result of creativity flowing is to encounter differences and then discover various looks of design. No matter what kind of diversity we are dealing with, opportunities to link the difference or international cooperation with the new, diversity is what we need to know, learn and accept. With this notion in mind, 2012 TWDW theme Zone curators and designers are encouraged to adopt the following two directions in curating their exhibition and creating their works:

1. 

By looking at different angles, discovering new possibilities from the existed design area; like branches of river, come from the same origin, but have different views along their own banks.

2. 

Combine elements from different design areas, like two small branches come into one big river. With different design areas, interesting elements, new topics, unique materials and innovative techniques are shown upon designers’ diverse background and experiences.   

We expect the power of 《FLOW》 in 2012 to forward the design and creativity in Taiwan.
